netflix.

Netflix CEO, Reed Hastings is crystal clear on how people view his company’s brand, no matter how bad or good the his recent choices have been. Some of Hastings’ comments were frank and rueful about Netflix’s mistakes at the UBS Media conference in New York on Tuesday. The troubles with Nexflix in 2011 began when it announced it would charge separate prices for its DVDs by mail and streaming video games. In September is when the real debacle came in. Qwixter was announced, by Netflix, to be the new re-branded name for the DVDs. Because the customers raged so much, Netflix pulled a stunning reversal a few weeks later and cancelled the entire Qwixter plan. Hastings still didn’t shy away from the philosophy behind Qwikster. He downplayed the DVD business many times times during his talk. Last month,m Netflix had payments of more than $3.5 billion over the next few years.

It relates to me because my family uses Netflix monthly.

Warning: Coming Out Alive Is Not Likely. BOO!

The story I'm about to tell is a story that always scared me when I was little. This is how it goes. There was a couple driving through Dedham and they hit a dead end. They came to a stop in front of an old house that had been abandoned for over 15 years. The couple was curious so the woman went inside to check out the house. As she went inside, the man walked around outside to see how old some of the yard decorations were. While the woman walked around inside, she heard glass shatter upstairs. Not thinking much about it, she went upstairs to see what had fallen. As she reached the top of the stairs, something shattered downstairs. As bad thoughts filled her mind she ran back down the steps and out the front door. The minute she stepped out of the house, the first thing she saw was blood dripping on the car from the tree above it. As she got to the tree, she found her boyfriend in the tree, dead. He had stabs all over his body and a hole in his head from a bullet. Crying, the woman turned around and saw a black figure walking into the house. The figure turned around and when he has the woman he smiled at her, dropped his knife, and ran inside.

Ever babysat late at night? Yeah, scary sometimes. Legends of late night babysitters have left jitters down my spine. There was a babysitter who was babysitting late at night for a young couple so they could go out for dinner. The teenager came over to the couples house 10 minutes before they left. A couple hours passed and the teenager finally put the 10-month old baby to bed. She went into the parents room to watch t.v because they had a big screen. As she layed in bed, she spotted a clown statue in the corner of the room. She got up and went to the closet to cover up the clown. They girl lie back down in the bed and fell asleep. Later, she woke up to thumping, but didn't think anything of it, so she fell back asleep. About an hour later she woke up again the thumping. She finally got out of bed to check on the baby, everything was fine. She went back into the parents rooms, but as she walked in, the clown statue was gone. With her heart beating extremely fast, the teenager turned around to go back to the baby's room. Right as she turned around, the clown was right behind her blocking the doorway. When the baby's parents came home, they found the teenagers head sitting on their bed with a note. When the closet door was opened, the couple found the teenagers body and they're strangled baby.

My Grandma is on Facebook.. -_- bleeh!

This past summer my grandma called me and asked me to help her set up Facebook. I was NOT excited. By the time I got there, she had already messed things up so I had to set up a whole new account. Helping her is a big regret I have. Five out of the seven days of the week, I get a call from my grandma asking me how to add a photo or how to update her status.
My grandma stalks my profile. It is more annoying than fingernails going down a chalkboard. She looks through all my photos, and even worse, looks at my friends list and if she doesn't know who they are then I have to explain to her how I know that person. She writes super embarrasing things on my wall, too! When it was my dads birthday, she wrote down how she remembered the day he was being born and it was AWFUL! That's the story of my grandma on Facebook.

September 11th. Always in Our Memories

On September 11, 2001, I was in preschool at Kids Korner Preschool in Carroll, Iowa. I really have no memory of the terrorist attack just because I was so young. Although, last year we studied the attack in Reading class with Mrs. Birks. I remember learning just how many people were killed. Watching videos of the planes hitting the Twin Towers was even hard to watch. During the time we were studying the 9/11 attacks I remember just everyone quiet and were really focused on what we were studying.

Technological World.

I could never live without Facebook. It's something I go on every night. It's how I stay in the present. People can now say anything online and the things people talk about sometimes relate to social networks and what is said on them. It depends, really. Technology can be bad if things are being said and people are saying things about people where everyone can see it. It can be good if people are posting good things on people's walls and not saying anything to put people down. The relationship I have with my parents. We are really close and I wouldn't do or say anything on the internet to ruin that.Yeah, computers have kinda made us obsessed. When a computer is slow it can cause people to get super impatient and put them in a bad mood which puts other people in a bad mood, too. If someone gets a brand new computer they'll want to be on it more and that can cause them to be obsessed. I agree and disagree with Mark Kennady. I agree because the airplane, automobile, and computer can be used for people who are to lazy to do things manually, but I disagree because those inventions help people to. They can make things a lot easier at times.
